A former Fresno business owner accused of drugging and defrauding a Southern California millionaire took to social media and crowdfunding to aid his legal defense this week.

Anthony David Flores, 46, a.k.a. “Anton David,” was a licensed hairdresser and owner of Central Valley Window Cleaning in Fresno. He was arrested last week along with Anna Rene Moore, 39, an actress and former owner of Fulton Yoga Collective in Fresno.

The pair are accused of befriending a mentally ill 57-year-old man — a wealthy doctor and investor who lived in Malibu — and giving him LSD to gain access to his wealth. They are charged with defrauding him out of more than $2.7 million before his 2018 death.

David set up a GoFundMe campaign on Tuesday asking for donations toward his legal defense. It had raised $9,368 toward its $30,000 goal as of Thursday morning before the page appeared to have been taken down.

“I’m currently in jail and I need your financial support,” David wrote for the campaign. “I can assure you, on my soul, that I am innocent. The charges against me are non-violent.”

David said he had run out of money and needed to pay his legal team $15,000 on Tuesday and another $15,000 on Feb. 15.

Flores and Moore are each charged with felonies, including conspiracy, identity theft, mail fraud and money laundering.

They could face decades in prison if convicted on all counts.
